Summer Scrapbook 2009

May: Jake was walking Jenny behind the flowers and I had to yell STOP! camera time! LOL
This was one of the tournaments the boys won in. I think they took 3rd. But as you can see they're all so very proud. I love this picture. That was a great weekend we spent up in Malcolm NE. Which is about an hour away from our house.

Had to tourcher the boys atleast once this summer before all my camera stuff had to be put away because of remodeling. After looking at this pic I really don't care for it. LOL Oh well.

Although I love this picture of David. That is his true little smirky grin.

June: swimming lessons started off VERY cold. But by the end of the week the water was great and the kids were enjoying thier free swim after a week of lessons. Jake and David both passed. Yeah!

I think Jake had to tread water. So while he was imobile I thought what a great time to sneak some pictures. HAHA

OMgosh this was a snapping turtle I found on the side of the road. Dave and I had been out garage saling that morning and were on our way home and I saw something brown in the grass. I kept thinking "I think thats a turtle". So I turned around and by the time we got back to it, it had already made its way half way into the road. So Dave went over to move it. SNAP! Its head swung around so fast that he dropped it... LOL it peed all over Dave and scared the crap out of both of us. We weren't expecting a snapping turtle sheesh! But they're quite common around here. Lets just say I wont be picking up any turtles and neither will the boys unless they want to be missing some fingers. FYI> if you need to pick one up grab it by the tail or way back by his tail or he WILL get you. Thankfully no one was hurt this day.

This was also taken in June. I needed a picture for my Gpa and the boys were goofing off. And it's not too often that Jake gets one up on Tyler. Or 2 in this case. LOL They're getting too big too fast.

This was a game day we had in Crete I think. Dave wanted a pic with Tyler. I think I know where Ty gets his height from now.

This is Davids best buddy Thomas. Who is a great boy. We like him alot and his family is great too. LOL but this little kid hands his clothes down to Jake. LOL which I totally love. Oh and Thomas is 7 like David. He's one month younger than David.

We finally got out to do some fun stuff this summer too. This is the SAC Air and Space museum not too far from here. We got to ride in our first simulator. I thought I was going to throw up. But Dave and the boys had a great time.

Tylers last tournament was close to home here in Council Bluffs Iowa. Even though they lost I managed to snap this great picture of Tyler sliding into home plate.

Yep they still occationally sleep together.

One afternoon we went over to the zoo. While we were there we stopped in for an IMAX movie. Under the Sea in 3D. It was pretty good. I think the majority of us just enjoyed the 30 min of sitting in a padded chair. LOL

I took the kids and Dave out for a little photo shoot. I love silhouettes because all they could do was complain about the bugs and the grass. LOL But look at that awesome rainbow. Hahaha

And the shed. Oh yes. It's finally done!

Tyler got to learn how to swing a hammer pretty good too. He enjoyed being out there doing something productive.

We went to the train museum too. The kids had fun playing in the cars and touching everything. Here's Jake in the trolly. I wish stuff was made like it was back then. It's constructed alot better in my opinion.

Our fireworks were on the 5th of July because it was too wet on the 4th. The boys sat up on the firetruck again this yr. Which has become a fun tradition for them. I like to sit back and take pictures. Although this year I decided I need a better lense. Because no matter how far I zoomed out I was still too close. But am still pleased with most of the shots I got that night. After the fireworks show we came home to a war zone. I swear people only come out of thier houses for Halloween and the 4th of July. Everyone on my street was letting off fireworks. I think I even counted over 20 boys playing with fire. LOL where are these kids during the rest of the year?

We also made it out to the wild life safari. It was a great day for it. We got there early and almost all the animals were out. Of course there are alot more animals than these 3 but you may have to check my facebook to look at them. LOL if I have gotten around to uploading them.

My basement is almost complete. Darren and I did the primer coat last night. So Kristen and I will start painting today. Then we wait on the carpet and linoleum. So I am hoping it will be done by next Wed. Cross your fingers and say a prayer. PLEASE.
Well that's a glimps into our summer. It went by pretty quickly and I didn't get enough sun. But I plan on making up for that within the next couple weeks before the kids start school.

No new pics.

I've been racking my brain for the past 2 weeks trying to figure out more poses that I can do with the boys. According to someone the last picture I sent out was a "little on the girly side" pose wise. LOL So I finally think that I found one. And then Jake gets sick coughing his head off for 2 weeks and last night Tyler started coughing and has 101.3 fever today. So needless to say the picture taking is on hold. And tomorrow afternoon we ARE getting on a plane to go to Florida. Sick or not sick we will be getting on that plane. I guess I will be posting again in a few days with a "yay we had fun at Disney report" or a " what a nightmare Disney was report". Keep your fingers crossed and say some prayers for us. We're going to need it. TTFN
