Last Day of the Year.

And I sit here thinking about how the year has been.
Pretty darn good I think. Nothing really worth complaining about.
We bought the house last April. The In-laws came in July for the 4th. We had a great time and the weather was perfect. There were quite a few storms this summer. But nothing we had to race to the basement for. This summer I met my friend Shellie. She's a great gal. And we love her family. She and Brian have boys that are my boys ages. I've been trying to go to the gym every morning Mon-Fri. and have been able to keep up with that unless someone is sick. The boys have been pretty healthy for the most part this year. Tyler started his allergy shots. Jake and David only managed to get the pukey flu maybe 2 times. After a month of sick kids last month I've forgotten what else they were sick with this yr. Darren and I have been pretty healthy too. Thank God.
School for the boys is going very well. They all have good grades. Although Ty says his Spanish grade is low. But I'm not worried about it. He will just get to take it again and again until he gets it. LOL .. The boys also got a lot taller. And now Ty is taller than me. Jake and David are doing well in piano also.
Darren's parents came for Christmas this year. We enjoyed there visit. This Christmas was even more special because of a present I got Jake. I asked him what he wanted and he kept saying he really did not want anything. So I decided to suprise him with a new kitten. After a week of searching I finally found someone with small kittens. On Christmas day my friend Shellie brought the kitten over. She had been watching him until then. Jake decided to name him Boots. The name was suggested by my brother who also named my other cat Sox. So now we have Sox and Boots..LOL..Sox is doing much better with the kitten too. She only curses at him now. But is getting closer to him day by day... Jenny loves her new kitten too. LOL I have attatched some pics of him too.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!Jake and BootsBoots is gonna kick some butt! LOL Watch your feet!!!

Christmas Pics

Well I am home AGAIN today. Jake is still sick. I got bored last night so I tourchered David a little bit. Here are the most resent of us.

It's not always rainbows and butterflies.

Nope it's not. Especially in the last week at the Osier's. Last Thursday evening David became very sick. The poor boy puked every 30 min until 5:30am. The next few days he had horrible stomach cramps. And then Sunday evening had more vomiting. Boy was he upset when we told him that he could not go to school that following Monday. Monday, Tyler woke up at 6:30am and puked all over the place. On his floor, down the hallway, on the walls and all over himself. He said later that he was dreaming about a kid puking.. LOL ya it was him. But I just love to make a grocery run before 7am. So needless to day I was VERY busy cleaning that day. Tuesday, David got to go back to school. Thank God! David was chatty, I needed him to go just as bad as he wanted to go. So anyway Monday evening Jake started puking. The boy also made sure I was awake all night long. He started at 8pm and puked every 30-ish minutes until about 4pm the next day. I started feeling bad for him by about noon. Wednesday.,.. ahh yes, today. Today Tyler and David went to school woohooo! Jake is recovering from the day before and I am finally getting to take a morning for myself.
I'm pretty much done with the Christmas shopping. I only have the odds n ends to get now. Jake finally told me this morning that he wanted a camera from Santa. LOL ok he doesn't believe anymore and told me that he wasn't real. But I told him he had to play the game or he didn't get a gift from Santa. So I also need to try to find a camera too I guess. And probably get the Jenny girl a new bone. So she will leave the family alone as we are opening gifts.
The inlaws come in on the 23rd and we are looking forward to them coming. We always enjoy them when they're here. The weather has been freezing. Yesterday we finally got some measurable snow. It looks very pretty out there now. If it's going to be freezing I like to see snow. I will try to update more on Saturday after Davids first piano recital.

Black Saturday?

Well I don't know what they call today. But it was another great shopping day! I like going to the BX and getting a $20.00 gift card. Although getting up early is starting to catch up with me I think. I found movies for $6.95 today and 3 DsLite games for about $9.00. One is a spanish learning game. I bet Tyler will just love it. LOL if not the rest of us can use it and try to learn something.
Tomorrow is another getting up early day. I hope it's not called Black Sunday because that just sounds bad. I think I will name it Green Sunday. LOL because tomorrow we will be getting another $20.00 gift card. I plan on taking 2 of the boys with me. Because any valid ID card holder gets a gift card if you are the first 100 in the door. Man after tomorrow I am not going to have much to write about for a while.
This afternoon we set up the christmas tree. And found out my great $22.00 garage sale bargain has seen better days. There is a section of prelit lights that don't want to work. I think I will start looking for a tall skinny tree. I am tired of the nice full ones taking up so much darn room. The tree we have now probably is a good 4ft across on the bottom. So it's time for a change.
Will add more tomorrow on what we found at the BX.

BLACK FRIDAY!!!!

What a great freekin day! I've been up since 1:45am. Tyler and I picked up my partner in crime Shellie and her son Josh at 2:45am. And we waited in line at the BX. They opened at 4am. The first 100 thru the door got $20.00 gift cards. Which we all got. :) .. I didn't buy anything there this morn bur Shellie, Josh & Ty did some shopping. Next was Shopko. What a crazy mad house. They had the best toy sale on this side of town and everyone knew it. They opened at 5am and we got there shortly after that. We made our way back to the toys because I was on the hunt for a $100.00 remote controll toy that was on sale for $30.00. This is what it looks like: http://toys.hsn.com/hot-wheels-radio-control-n-s-e-c-t-robotic-creature_m-10030874_xp.aspx?web_id=3819441&sf=ty&attr=5218&ocm=ty5218&prev=hp!5218&ccm=ty5218
There was a guy standing ouside Shopko handing out $5.00 off coupons for Village Inn so that's where we had breakfast. Next was Sears. I found David a pair of nice dress pants for 5buks. By this time the boys were getting wild. So we dropped them off at Shellie's house. Picked up a few more sales flyers and back out shopping we went.LOL
Kmart wasn't too bad either. They had the rug set I wanted to get. Three rugs for $30.00 and there was only one left of the design I wanted. It's only 10am maybe by this time so we drove over to Dicks Sporting Goods. We were determined to buy ourselves new shoes with the $15.00 coupon we had. But neither of us could find a pair that we really liked. And we must have tried on atleast 5 different pairs of shoes if not more. Lets see, after that we went to Gordman's. I didn't get anything there. But Shellie found Josh some shorts. Walmart wasn't too bad either. We managed to get in and get out fairly quickly with most everything that we went in there for.
When I got home Jake informed me that I had been gone for over 9hrs. LOL .. 2:45am-12:15pm. So tomorrow morning he will be going with us to the BX because they're giving out $20.00 gift cards for the first 100 in the door until Sunday morning. I am going to buy myself a writing tablet thing for editing pictures when I get the gift cards.
After a busy morning I came home and we ate lunch. I went up to watch my show but only football was on. I did manage to snag a little nap but woke up with just as much energy as I had earlier. So I re-arranged the family room and cleaned it real good. I was really looking for my keys..LOL But Darren found them on the piano of all places. I've been looking for a week for the dumb things. So I guess sprucing up the place helped find them..lol.
After shopping and Davids piano practice tomorrow I think we will set up Christmas decor. The tree will be going in the main living room infront of the window. Just so people can see a pretty tree from the street. After it's all set up I plan to take a picture and will post it on here.
Well I've managed to ramble on more than I thought. And I should get to bed. Because 3:40am comes early. Shellie will be here at 4:00am. LOL Wish us luck.
HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY! and Saturday and Sunday!

Music makes his heart sing

David's new thing has been rollerblading thru the house and jumping off the step into the family room. Then he dashes over to the piano and plays a song, jumps up and rolls off again. This happens atleast 20 times a day. LOL with or without the rollerblades. But I think he is doing very well for only starting piano last Aug 30. Not even 3 months ago. So yes I think I have every right to brag.. LOL at the moment anyway. Well with further adieu may I introduce David Matthew Osier!! (but just so you know the camera was flustering him. He normally doesn't make this many mistakes.)

"Better Late Than Never"..........

Is a good little quote. Especially when you're a procrastinator like me. Jake had a good birthday. He turned the big 11 this year. We took him out to dinner to a place of his choice and he got to open his presents.
We got him the game he had been wanting but as you can see he was'nt very excited.

My mom sent a package too and Jake thought it was pretty funny that there was a hanger on top of the clothes. LOL " I got a hanger for my birthday! How did Gma know that's what I wanted?" But in that package she also sent a sweatshirt, a cool guitar shirt, and a real nice red sweater. He really likes the new clothes and wears them all the time.
I always have to add a picture of my moms gifts because she is the Tape & Ribbon Queen. She always sends nice gifts but makes you work for them...LOL..... Pull Jake!

Jake also recieved a Bday card from Gma O. She sent him money. Which he hasn't spent yet. I think he is saving up for something. But won't tell me what it is yet. Although I did tell the boys if they saved up half of the cost of a PSP, Darren and I would pay the other half. So I'm thinking he wants to save for that. And we just want to thank the Grandparents for the gifts that were sent.
The day after his bday is Oct 31st. This year I caved in and let the younger 2 boys go Trick-or- Treating. It was a beautiful evening so my friend Toni and i took our boys out. And we walked and walk and walked. So it was a good evening for us and the kids. We got a really long walk and they got candy. David figured out this year that he had never gone out on halloween. But by the end of the evening and walking for over 2 hrs I doubt he will want to go again. LOL
Tyler got to stay home with the Jenny girl and hand out candy. Which I think he enjoyed. And he got to play with a few neighbor kids afterwards.

Hi Ho Hi Ho

It's off to work I go.
Man I've worked the past 6 days and it's kicking my butt. Although it was really nice to get my first paycheck in seven years. I just need to learn to say no if I don't want to go in. That's the reason I became a sub. Other than that work is going well. I've still only worked at East High. But I've made some pretty good friends there.
The boys are doing well. Basketball started this week. Jacob and David are getting ready for Keyboard Karnival on the 17th of Nov. They are getting pretty excited. If they do well they will get a trophy.
The Jenny girl has graduated from her kennel to the family room when we are gone. After finding out she has hip dysplasia I feel guilty for leaving her in her kennel. So far shes only chewed one thing..LOL It wasn't mine. That's all that matters. And I changed her back to more exspencive dog food with hip stuff in it.
It's definitley truning into Fall here. The leaves have all turned and are a pretty red and orange.
I will post again after Jacobs birthday. That way I will have something to type about. ..TTFN

Back to normal

Well it's been a long while since I posted last. I worked from 15 Sept until 7 Oct. Needless to say I was very busy. And I loved it. I missed working alot more than I thought. Once my body got use to working again. I enjoyed all the gals I worked with. My friend Shellie even got to work with me a couple times. Which was alot of fun. Oh for the ones who don't know what my new job is. I am a substitute food service worker for the school district. AKA Lunch Mom. LOL

The boys are all doing well. Tyler finished up with football and had a blast being the QB and tight end tackle. And whatever else he played. His grades were pretty good for being as busy as he was. Darren and I were very pleased with that. Puberty has set in for him. I was listening to him talk last night and he is getting very crackly sounding. And I'm going to keep a bat by the door to chase off them dumb girls. LOL they're already calling. UUUGGGGG
Ty and Zach N. Ty as QB.

Jake is doing very well in school. Although his teacher says he got to stand on the wall during recess for a week because he decided not to turn in an assignment. That boy can be so stubborn sometimes. But I'm kinda tweeked because, he nor his teacher told me about this situation when it was happening. But otherwise he is doing great in school and has straight A's. Jake has also been spending alot of time with his buddy Jordan. We call Jordans family his second family. LOL they are always asking him to come over for the day.

David is also doing very well in school. He has matured alot since last year already. He loves second grade and I really like his teacher. She is a no nonsence kindof gal like myself. Yet she is very personable. He will have a great year I think. He also got all A's. Except in handwriting. PPFFTT oh well. And she says he doesn't like to color.. LOL no kidding. That boy has hated coloring from the time he first got crayons to play with. I guess it doesn't move fast enough. Oh well ... win some.. lose some.

Jenny is doing better it seems. She was diagnosed with hip dysplasia last week. Which is sad because she is only 1 and a half. Her birthday is March 20th 2007. So she is really young. But I also was told on my last xray that I also have some wearing down of the hip joint. So she and I will be taking glucosamine. LOL

Darren is still working for BoozAllen and likes his job pretty well still. I think he said something about going to school for work in December. Which is ok. That is about time for another break anyway..LOL His parents will be coming on the 23rd of Dec. And staying for the holiday. I am excited for them to come. And Jenny loves her Gpa. LOL

Other than working. I also have been taking senior pictures. And had alot of fun doing the last session at the Old Market in downtown Omaha. Of which I will attach a few pictures of this pretty city. My weightloss has been slow but productive. I have lost 12.5 lbs since 30 July. I am not excited about that but I am content with it. Jenny constantly reminds me that "we" need to walk on a daily basis. That's about all that is new. The weather is turning chilly and the leaves are turning colors. The last of the prettyness before the ugly brown winter sets in.

Merry Go Round

Wow what a whirlwind past two weeks. I love working and the people I work with. I don't love to rush home and get things ready for the evening. The past month has seemed to spin out of controll. I can't remember much of whats happened. Other than the basics. Oh wait nothing has happened because I've been too exausted.LOL . I work all day tomorrow and Tyler has a football game in the next town tomorrow after school. Poor Jenny I had to get her a dog sitter for the day because we won't be home until after 3pm. And then back out the door for another 2hrs. I couldn't kennel her for 8hrs during the day. She doesn't even sleep there at night anymore. Only when we're gone. My friend Denise said she would take Jenny for the day.
Darren and I cleaned out an ugly pine tree bush thing in the back yard today. It looks much better back there. Except I did something to my hip. I'm tellin ya I am falling apart here. LOL
Well hopefully I will update more often. But don't count on it. We still have everything else in the evenings. So if you see a new post then I've had time to sit here and actually think. LOL TTFN

All grown up

Well today is the day that I no longer have to do anything for David. He gave himself a bath tonight all by himself. That was the only thing left I had to hold onto with him being my baby and all.
I worked out at the gym this morn for an hour and a half. Went to wally world to pick up lunch stuff. And then off to Migun massage place. It felt soo good. But now I am achey. My joints hurt. I better not be getting the bug going around. I get to work again tomorrow. Six more hrs at the high school again. And Wednesday I go on a field trip with Davids class to the zoo. I'll have some pics hopefully from that later on.

Sunday, September 21, 2008

Wow what a week. I finally got called into work this week at East High school. I was so excited to be there I didn't care what I got to do in the kitchen. So dummy me says, " I can do dishes." Wrong move. Holy crap cafeteria pots and pans are heavy. After an hour of washing dishes BY HAND my shoulders hurt so bad. Then it moved down my back... UUUGGGG. I won't be offering to do dishes ever again. Although, I will do them if that's the only thing left to be done. The rest of the week I was incharge of setting up the salad bar. Which wasn't too hard. I use to do it all the time about 13 yrs ago. LOL not much has changed. Except the kids HAVE TO HAVE thier cookies n cream pudding crap. BLEK it was grose. And I got to take instruction from an asian woman who spoke poor english. You, Kitchen, ICE, ICE IN KITCHEN. OK where? So she had to physically show me. Because I couldn't understand 90% of what she was saying. Also public high school kids are spoiled! They have a snack shack, hot food line, pizza and hotddog line, sub sandwich and wrap line, and the salad bar line. It's hard work but I actually like it. I want to stay there for as long as possible. Because that's the school the boys will go to when they're old enough. After a week of bustin my rear end I will be excited to see my first check on the 15th of next month. My first real check since I quit Fedex.

Thursday was Tylers second football game. His team did better than last time but they still lost 3-1. As long as he is having fun, that's all that matters to me.

September 11 Has another memory

Today David went back to schoo! Praise the Lord! And I got to do everything I didn't do for a whole week.

Today was also Tyler's first football game of the season. He got to play is dream position. QUARTER BACK ...... You know your the cool kid when your the QB..LOL...... So before his head gets too big here are some pictures from his most humble days.. LOL or day.. HAHA

The game was called due to lightning. Thank God because it was pouring rain. We were all soaked. My friend Shelly was kind enough to share her large umbrella with me thank goodness. So anyway here's some pics before I ramble too much longer.

Sick and Tired

Ok David is sick and I am tired of him being sick. I thought he was doing alot better. I had a Dr. appointment to night at 6pm and I had made his dinner to go. As he was eating I happen to look back. UHH mom I don't feel good. And litterally 2 minutes before we could get to a bathroom or stop somewhere. He vomited all over the back seat of my expensive pretty truck with CLOTH seats. He was a mess and so was his seat. GAG... I got him cleaned up best I could and the gals at the Dr office managed to squeeze him in. And they were booked. So anyway he has a "virus". I hate that word. And all I could think of when I was cleaning up the truck is that I have cleaned Jakes, Davids or a dogs vomit in my truck and old van probably a good 10xs. And I really miss leather seats on days like today.

No Sugar Added

Can you believe that there are people in this world who don't give thier children cereal with tons of food coloring and sugar? Well I do! But my kids think otherwise. Buying cereal today was frustrating. I clearly stated they could have these types of cereal with dried fruits in them or plain. And they kept bringing me boxes of Capt Crunch, Coco Puffs, Trix and whatever else they could find. I think the grocery stores should have to put all that junk up on the top shelves.LOL Even if it's just for my sanity. Once I figured out D had issues with sugar in the mornings I cut it out almost completely. Not even Nutrigrain bars because of the sugar content. He gets syrup on waffles and that is about it. For his morning intake of sugar that is. And we clearly have seen a difference in him. Now I know what my mom was talking about when she took my sugar cereals away when I was little. I just don't know why it has taken me almost seven years to figure out this boy. Oh well better late than never.

Sleep is overrated

Well, I finally decide to fix our bed yesterday afternoon. It has been squeeking for hmmmm probably a good 3 years. And I just couldn't take it anymore. I kept waking up at night when Darren or I would roll over. It sounded as if the mattress was going to drop to the floor. So I took the mattess and the box spring off and wouldn't ya know there was about 5 screws missing. I took the bed apart and added new screws and tightened the ones that were left. WAAALLAAA! It's fixed. So I was planning on getting a good nights sleep. Well David started throwing up about 7pm last night. So I left him on the couch to watch tv until Darren was ready to take him to bed. I had gone to bed around 10ish and was almost asleep. And I hear a whimper... man that sounded alot like David. So I hollared out.. DAVID IS THAT YOU!? No answer. The mom in me decided to get up and look anyway. Because I thought he was still downstairs. Well the boy was in his bed curled up into fetal position groaning. I look closer at him and he's gagging in his sleep. Next thing I see is him puking and thought OMGOSH grose D. He is the only person I know that can vomit and keep it all in his mouth. BBLLEEECCCKKK!!! At that point I'm yellin at him to get his rearend to the bathroom. (Makes me nauseous to even think about it. So I had to share... TMI sorry for those with weak guts). I figured if he was going to be that mental about getting to the bathroom then I would make him a bed on the bathroom floor. And that's where he slept all night. Unlike me up and down all night to make sure he was ok and had a little bit of fluids to drink.
Darren left for Colorado Springs this morning. He was bummed that he had to take himself to the airport. Because, right before he left David puked again. And I am not taking a sick kid out for an hour car ride.
Sunday morning has been pretty uneventful. The boys are entertaining themselves with video games because they have been grounded from them all week. And I am tired and cranky. As long as they're not bothering me or making too much noise we will have a great day. LOL Hopefully I will have more exciting news during the week. I have my weigh in on Tuesday evening. Crappy time I know. But I don't think I've lost much. Even with going to the gym almost everyday. PPFFTT! Tyler has his first football game on Thursday after school. That's the excitement here for the week.

Sunday Fun Day!

Wow it has been a busy day. The church hosted its yearly Family Fest after church today and the church ask that I take some pics. Well here are a few of the boys. I let Jake take pictures too. And look what he took a pic of... LOL

Here is what David played for us after we got home. He must have taught himself this morning while I was in the shower. ;)

Happy birthday

Well it's Davids birthday. He is 7 today. And was in my face at 5am. "Mom can I open the box now?" David go back to bed! 6am "Mom can I get up and open my box now?" David get your butt back in bed until 7am atleast! LOL 7am "Mom my watch says it's 7am now, can I get up?" UUGG Are you kidding me? So I get my robe on and come downstairs to make sure he let the dog out. And I hear "can I open my box from Gramma now?" At this point I barked NO! It's been a whopping 37 min and so far he hasn't said any thing.

He isn't having a party today so I think I will let him open his gifts before piano lessons. Yep that's right his first lesson happens to be on his birthday. LOL I was going to post the link that the news station sent back to me so you can watch the news station tell the world it's his birthday but there isn't one. So here is the picture that I sent in.

I will update later with more pictures. Hopefully from piano and his bday cake and gifts.

Here are the gifts that he got. Gma O sent him money that he will spend on some sort of toy.THANKS Gma O........ Gma T got him an awesome card which he totally loved. And cool clothes. THANKS MOM and some money for him to spend also. He is in hog heaven at the moment.

His first piano lesson went very well to my suprise. Because all he did was fidget and tap the keys even when she was trying to talk to him. But for some odd reason he was still able to comprehend what she was telling him. I had to ask what he ate for breakfast.. he says " a chocolate granola bar." AH that's why he couldn't sit still or focus. LOL oops . Ms. M. says he is already on page 22. Yeah DeDe! I think she was suprised by him too. Which always tickles me. Because when the boys do more advanced things it makes me feel like Darren and I have done a pretty good job. :) Oh ya it's just now noon. Can I take a nap now?

One week later

Well, it's been almost a week since I blogged last. Next Saturday is Davids 7th birthday. I can't believe my baby will be 7.~~sigh. I have no idea what we are going to do for his birthday yet. He wants a party but he only has 2 real friends right now and one will be out of town. Maybe we will just push his party back a week so that they both can come. I'll have to talk to Darren.
It was another good school week. Tyler started football and wants to be a quarterback so bad. He says he doesn't care which team he plays on. Just as long as he can be the QB. Jake says he didn't do anything exciting at school this week. He did manage to get a 103% on his spelling test. WAY TO GO! David is still David at school. He has to move his card atleast once a day for talking. LOL Not our David!. I warned his teacher the first day of school that he likes to talk. But I've gotten no notes sent home so he must not be too bad.
I tried to go to the gym everyday. But I got a call to taste test food for Tues & Wed. I could't pass it up. It paid $50.00. Thursday the gym was closed in the morning and there was no way I was going in the afternoon.. It gets too blasted hot in that old airplane hanger. I did however take Jenny for a 3 mile walk. It was misting out and felt so good. Friday I made it back to the gym and had a good workout. I'm going to add weights next week I hope. Last night I kept waking up with my arms or legs asleep. No matter which way I turned as soon as I was comfy one of my limbs would throb in tingly pain. And to boot my hips have been sore for over a month. I will talk to my doctor about it when I go in next.
Tyler is on his 4th week of allergy shots. He will be getting them before school on Monday mornings. Although this Monday I am going to light a fire in thier office.. -- not litterally-- Every time we have gone in they have just turned Tyler around and poke the back of his arm. Never have they gone over the serum bottle nor asked him if the info on the bottle was him. And Ive never seen the serum bottle. The lady got into a huge tizzy last week when I asked her where it was. So I left pissed. I have every right to know what she's poking my son with. Although I know/ hope it's the right stuff.
I haven't picked up my camera in over a month other than to take a picture of a butterfly in the back yard. I haven't been in the mood. Tomorrow another gal and I are suppose to take pictures after church. The church does a Family fest this time every year. It's usually a fun thing. But since Darren will be playing in the music group and I will be taking pictures that means the boys will get to run wild. And I don't want that to happen. But of course they love it when they're not under my thumb.
The dog still has a stupid rash, digs at her ear, bites her feet and scratches everywhere. I decided yesterday no more dog food for a week. Just to see if that helps. I will make her chicken and rice. Which she totally loves. Knowing my luck it's not the food she's having issues with, it's probably grass.
Hope you have a good weekend. I'm going to try. LOL

Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave

Yesterday morning I was trying to figure out what I wanted to post about from the past few days. And nothing really extravagant popped into my head. So I decided to bag it.
School started last Tuesday and it was a wonderful week. Back into routine. Dropping the kids off at school then off to the gym for me. I love it. The dog loves it. Because now she gets walked everyday from 2:15 - 3:15 in the afternoon. I chose that time to walk her because it gives me time to wear her 90lb hiney out and then we go up to the school and get the boys. At this point all she can think about is getting home to drink water and lay in a cool spot.
This morning while working out and sweating my rear off I was thinking about how Sunday went. And I realized that we live in an awesome counrty. Yesterday was our church's lake baptism at Chris Lake. A family from our church has a house out there. Well anyway after the music was over Pastor Steve said a few words and someone gave his testimony. Which was awesome by the way. Then down to the water everyone went. The church does this once a year so its a huge thing. As people were claiming thier profession and being baptized the Thunderbirds from the Air Show flew over. There's not too many places in this world that you can be publicly baptized and watch our nations protectors fly over at the same time. I just thought that was really cool and needed to share. Just when we think our country is going to crap. Something excellent happens. I am very thankful we live here.
On another note I'm still doing my best to lose weight. It's only the 2nd week so I hope to see some results soon. But now I have to clean this dissaster we call a house. Hope you all have a great week.
Oh ya I forgot to add that Jenny learned a new trick. If you tell her BANG! she will lay down and roll over. And stays until I say OK.

Where does the time go?

Where does the time go in a day? School started on Tuesday morning for all the boys. And I took the day off. I didn't lift a finger other than typing on here. I had a good chat with Amanda and got reconnected with my sister Sarah. But before I knew it ... it was time to go get the kids from school. We live close enough for them to walk to and from school. But I take them in the mornings and then drop off Tyler at his school. So far this week they've all walked home. Which is good excersize for me. I walk up to get them with the dog. Jenny loves her walks and to see the boys is the icing on her lil cake. Jake and David both collapsed on the couch. First day must have been tiring for them. Heck I wasn't going to complain they were both sitting and being quiet for once. And not off playing video games or fighting. Tyler ran thru the door and straight to thier computer to add all his friends to facebook. It was a great day over all.
Wednesday I started back up to the gym. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. I need to to be healthy and so that my back, knees, and ankles will not hurt as much. Oh ya and I don't wanna be one of those fat soccer moms on the side of the field. OMGosh the base gym is in an old airplane hanger and has been for many years and they still DON'T have a/c. I have never sweated so much in my life. But I was pretty impressed that I had sweat dripping off my arms..LOL . I did hear yesterday that by next year the gym will have a/c. Thank God!
Today the gym was still an oven. But I did manage to get the elliptical done and rode the bike a while. This week is my warm up. Next week I plan to spend an hour (or as close to it as I can) on the elliptical. That is about the only machine that doesn't kill my knees or shins. And the week after start to lift weights again along with the cardio. Last time I tried to lose this weight I got side tracked with the kids and babysitting. And sabotaged with the meal thing. So this time I will stick to my guns. I'd like to get to my goal by my birthday. I think thats pretty reasonable.
After school today Jacobs friend Jordan is coming over and staying until about 10pm. His parents are taking his older sister to college today. And have to get her all settled into her dorm room. Which is ok, we really like Jordan. Plus his family has taken Jake many times. So I owe them..lol
Well I am still sitting in my nasty sweaty clothes. It's time to get ready for the day. I have a dentist appt at 1:30pm to get 2 fillings. And Tyler has his sports physical tonight at 7pm. Football starts next Tuesday.
Ta-Ta for now.

NPS Conference

It's been a whirlwind weekend. Starting with the blog before this one and then driving down to Mary's. That is the highlight of this whole weekend so far. We drove for about 8 hrs on Friday to Arlington, Tx. The people here at the hotel are great. Very friendly and make sure that you know they're here for you. I needed a bandaid and the front desk didn't have one. Well one of the staff went looking. And brought me back practically half a box..LOL

I've met all kinds of people from alot of places. It's pretty cool seeing other people I am not related to have the exact same thumbs as me and my siblings. And seeing all the variations of this syndrome. Some are just as fortunate as my family with being healthy and others are not so lucky. I told Darren last night that I feel very grateful for my nps. There are so many more that are worse off. Webbed arms, glaucoma, kidney issues are just to name a few. Of which my family doesn't really suffer any of those major defects.

I came here imagining that the doctors who were speaking would be more like the other nps'ers with wanting to check out me and the boys hands and nails. LOL the crooked finger actually has a name. But I'm not a doctor and I'm sure there's a more technical name but the other name they describe the finger is Swan Necked. So anyway, after being here a day and a half not one doctor has come up to ask me about mine or the boys nails, elbows, knees, or kidneys. Which I find kind of discouraging. I did see alot of people asking the doctors alot of questions about this n that. But I have no questions really. I am very comfortable with how I am made. And the boys and I don't have any real medical issues. After being here the boys and I look very "normal" compaired to many nps'ers. I'm sure I will add more to this paragraph another day when I've had more time to think about it.

Jake and Davids most favorite thing to do was probably swimming. LOL . Jake got to meet a couple of kids. one thirteen yr old boy Evan he really took a liking to. But I think it's because was a computer nerd. Litterally, he at 13 runs his own servers. What ever the heck that is. But jake sure thought it was cool. I found David playing more with the siblings that didn't have nps. I mingled with a few people. One lady was from Kenai Alaska , a 16 yr old girlfrom NJ who diagnosed herself 2 years ago even after her doctor told her she didn't have nps. That little girl is full of fire she went back and shoved the evidence into that doctors face saying " I told you so!" She has decided that she wants to be a doctor when she grows up. We need more people like her. Let's see there's a few people from California (and We're not related-- lol ). Quite a few from the midwest and or the north eastern states. And one gal from the UK but lives in the states married to a military man.

Good grief I could go on n on about today. But I won't..lol Although I will add a pic of who all showed up.

If you read this on 8-10-08 please pray that the boys n I have a safe trip back home.

tty all soon

Yes, My cat talks to me

Man I was sleeping so good. My back finally was starting to feel better. And I wake up to a cat in my face. She kept meowing at me... Hey you lady get up!! .. GO AWAY! A few minutes later she is back again. This time shes on me... kneeding me, bumping up against my hand, and again with the meowing. Not loud just enough to make me stir. GO AWAY! So finally the third time she hopped up on me I decided to try to figure out what she wanted. I look at the door and it's not shut, so that can't be it. OK, OK, I got up and she ran out the door. As I sat up, I heard the dog whine... Oh that's not good... it's only 5:45am. Jenny should still be sleeping. I got up and came down stairs and OMGOSH the smell could have taken you by the nose and shook ya... PPEEEEUUUUEEEEE. (gags thinking about it). Of course now I feel bad because she layed in it long enough for most of it to dry. It was all over her and in her kennel and outside her kennel and down the airvent.. ICK! Ok so the dog is sent outside and I grab the papertowels and bag and the bleach. I thought I did a great job by not adding any more vomit to the bag. It was a mess.

After getting it all cleaned up I let her in. Offered her a lil tiny bit of plain yogurt for her tummy. And decided we should go back to sleep. So I layed on the couch and she on the floor next to me. But she can't sit still. She's itchy and licking and digging at her ears. We got up and I gave her some ear drops to help with the hurt. Of course the rule is if she gets drops in her ears and for being a good girl she gets a treat. Like a moron I gave her one. We layed back down and I was almost asleep. Next thing I hear is her puking again. This time on the carpet... common Jenny lets go outside, common, common lets go, common. Well let's just say she wasn't coming. And managed to barf in 2 areas on the carpet. I finally got her back out the door and realized its not even 7 am yet. CALGONE take me away!! So like the responsible person that I am I got out the carpet cleaner instead of trying to wipe it up with paper towels. The smell of yellow bile isn't the most pleasant. And I NEEDED to get it out of the carpet. Finally the carpets were done and by now my back is killing again. I feel like someone has thier fists in my sides.

Now I am boiling chicken and rice so she has something bland to eat while we are gone. Hopefully Tyler will do a good job watching her. So all who read this pleasae say a prayer for Tyler and Darren as I am leaving them with a sick dog. And that I don't come home to nasty stained carpet. The younger two and I are leaving for Texas in about 2 hrs. So I will report back after Monday some time. Hopefully with pictures of other NPS people.
Oh ya, I think I am going to rename Soxx to.... Lassie Kitty.

Getting Ready

Today I will be packing for Texas. Hopefully I will get everything done that I need to. My back went out on me Monday morning. So everything I do right now is a huge challenge. But dagnabbitt I am going to Texas! So I will work thru the pain. Jake and I got the truck washed and vacuumed last night, so that's one thing done. I still haven't done any house work and the floor is covered in dog hair. Which is nothing new. Although I have started laundry. So that's one less thing I have to do today. The younger two are getting thier hairs all trimmed up. I am letting my friend Susan do it. ONLY because I can't stand there and buzz them myself today or yesterday. Litterally can't stand, if I stand the wrong way or put pressure on my foot wrong I am toast. So I'll pay someone..lol.
As I was cleaning up after the dog Monday evening I noticed something moving in her stools. Well crap! She has worms! UUGGGG So off to petco I went. She took the meds like candy. Infact she takes anything I give her like candy. Which makes it really nice that I don't have to fight her. She even likes it when I shove the 4 benadryl down her throat. Only because she knows she will be getting a Treat.
The boys and I are getting excited to visit with Mary, Mitch , and Emily. Mitch is finally back from Iraq. 3 tours was enough for him and now he is trying to retire. A gal named Joan will be coming with us to the conference too. I met her once at Mary's house. And all I could think was "wow she looks alot like my side of the family". After the conference I will be taking Joan home so I am sure we will have tons of time to compair stories.
The boys start school on the 12th so this is going to be a whirlwind trip. I'll post again when we get home. Have a good week and weekend!

The boys are home.

....And it feels like all hell broke loose. Wow it was semi quiet with them at camp. Other than David thinking he needed to make more noise and talk a 100xs more than normal it was a fairly quiet week.
It was a hot one too. I think David really enjoyed his time with just Darren and I. We kept busy going to different pools and eating out. Thursday night I took David to the fair. Man-O-Man was it hot out! It had to have been close to 100. And the humidity was so bad. I got him the tickets for the rides and he did one ride and was ready to come home. But I said "too bad so sad buddy I bought these tickets for you and your going to use them all up".I was soaked from head to toe in sweat. We ended the evening with Dippin Dots and cotton candy. And we went to Village Inn to eat in an air conditioned building.
The boys came home at different times on Friday. Jake got back around 2:30pm and was glad to be home. He seemed to do alot better than last year. Although he says he doesn't want to go back because they didn't have any A/C. LOL whatever! Tyler came in about 6pm. While I was waiting for him I heard thru the grapevine that his cabin had gotten the flu. Luckily Tyler didn't. But everyone was exposed to it due to one boy puking on the bus all the way back home. It was a long drive. Over 5 hrs from Salina Kansas to Bellevue Nebraska. So knock on wood he still is feeling fine.
Saturday we all went out to Ashland,NE for Darrens work picnic. Again it was freekin hot. But we went anyway to the Double D Ranch. We went on a tram ride that was robbed by cowboys. They did a really cute skit. All the kids plugged thier ears because the caps in thier guns were very loud. I wanted the tram ride to last longer. After we went in and chose out table for the cowboy meal we were to get. Brisket isn't one of my favorite foods. But I ate it. And so did my kids. It was served with cowboy beans and some yummy taders. After dinner we watched a music show for about an hour. Let's just say I am so glad this was a free event. LOL But I am glad we went. It was a good experience for the kids.
I also took the dog to the vet yesterday and she has allergies. I was glad to know I had been treating her properly with the benadryl. And had been giving her fish oil and healthy dog food. LOL I think the vet was semi impressed. LOL and my baby girl weighs a whoppin 90 lbs now. And she will get to have 4 benadryl a day until October. ..

Today is Monday. Tyler starts his allergy testing today. He's not too happy about it. But I know in the long run he will feel better. Maybe by his Freshman year he can play outdoor sports without needing a tissue. After that we may go out to lunch and head to one of the pools. Its going to be 100 again today. Thank goodness the next few days will be in the 80"s. David informed me this morning that there is 4 days until we leave for TX. Sometimes it's nice to have a verbal countdown calendar. LOL.

Piece and Quiet?

Well this week has been pretty uneventful. I put the boys on 2 different busses going two ooposite directions Monday morning. Tyler had to be at the church by what I thought was 8:20 am. Which infact he didn't need to be there until 8:45. Lil pooper made me hurry and get him there. I guess he was excited to go. I was miffed because I thought I had his spending money in the truck and when I got in there to give it to him before we left I couldn't find it. So I'm freaking out because it was my picture taking money. AH it's in my pants from yesterday I thought. Well I ran upstairs to find my pants. I can't find them anywhere! Starting to panic big time.. freakin out, almost started to cry because I knew they were up there somewhere and I couldn't find them. Finally I found them under my clothes on the dresser...Whew!! I get Tyler to the church way before time it seems and the lil butthead wouldn't give me a hug goodbye. I figure next time instead of "embarrasing" him in public I will just have to get him here at home. The church rents a huge traveling bus for them to go to camp in. Which all the kids think is pretty darn cool. David and I waved good bye, talked to a few other moms and I assured them thier kids will have a good time and they will be safe because Tyler went last yr and everything went well. Oh except one of his so called friends tried to hang him up by his undershorts.. he didn't think that was very funny(but I did...hehehe).But other than that he had a good time.

At 11:00 am it was time to take Jake. He too was very excited to get out of dodge. David and I stayed to watch him get in his van and leave to. LOL sorry Jakes morning wasn't nearly as dramatic as Tylers.. Although I couldn't tell him enough that he needed to make sure he ate well. Last year he came home sicker than a dog. Cried his eyes out when he saw me. Broke my heart. I really didn't think he would go again this year. But his friends talked him into it. I sure hope he has a good week this time.

Now it's just David and me. And then it starts.....MOM CAN WE GO TO THE POOL NOW? HUHUHUHUH? After lunch David. He inhaled his lunch and off we went to the Plattsmouth pool. It is a larger public pool with a water slide and it's a beach like setting. He had a blast! Before we got home he was beggin to play the computer ALL BY HIMSELF and the wii ALL BY HIMSELF. LOL So that's what he has been doing for the most part. Just entertaining himself with gadgets.ALL BY HIMSELF. But you know I thought my house would be alot more quiet. But NOOOO he has to make up for the noise with his brothers not being here... UGGHHHH. I took him to see Wallie and he loved it, ate a whole tub of popcorn all by himself. What a lil pig. I personally thought the movie sucked. It was another greenpeace movie. And we make too much trash. That was the jyst. Yesterday the WiiFit was delivered to the door. I was more excited to play it than David was. Cool so get out of my way boy! It's mommys turn! Wow that was alot of fun and hard all in the same. It keeps your weight and BMI and holds you acountable... a game? holding you acountable? Yep it knows when you've been on and how long you've been on and when you should be taking a break.
Today is the last whole day before the boys get home. David wants to go to the pool again so he can wear his new trunks I got him the other day. And I want to take him to the fair tonight. I don't think he has ever been to a real fair before. So we are going to do it. Darren has to Ump softball games tonight so it will just be me and David. Which is ok with me. You can usually only fit 2 people on a ride anyway. I just hope he doesn't chicken out on me with the rides. Tomorrow the boys come home. Jake gets in about 2:30 I think and Tyler around 6pm. I hope they're having alot of fun this week.

Saturday we are going to Darrens work picnic. It's at the Double D (DD) Ranch. Up the road about 30 min. or so. After doing all the activites in the afternoon the evening will be a chuckwagon supper and a live cowboy music show. I am excited to go. I'm sure the boys will be bored. But it's something I think they need to experience. And with BoozAllenHamilton paying for it I want to take advantage of it.

Well David is buggin to go to the pool again. So I am off for the next few days. I will report back after Saturday sometime.

Another day

Today I finished editing over 150 senior pictures. Man why do I get myself into that many? I need to just pick the best ones and call it good. Well I did that too except I went thru the pictures with the girl and she wanted them ALL. The toughest thing about the pictures is that she is a very pretty girl and had the same exact smile in everyone. A pretty smile but after looking at the same thing over 150 times got real old real fast. I'm glad it's over. Her mom was very happy. So I guess that was the whole point.. right?

Tyler got his braces on Wednesday. He's been a real trooper thru the whole thing so far. He's even been going to basket ball camp in the afternoons. And complains more about his legs being sore than his teeth. He is an official metal mouth now. Braces are on top and bottom. I am excited to see the transformation. I want him to have normal looking teeth so bad. Unfortunitly it can't happen over night. I'm glad I applied for a job this school season because braces are not cheap. Wooo Weeee 4grand.. Thank goodness we can make payments.

Next week Tyler and Jake go to camp. It will just be me and David at home during the day. He says he is looking forward to the boys being gone. But I think after a couple of days he will be missing them.

Not too much else going on around here. Weather has been pretty crappy and the pool turned green. I'm getting anxious about going down to Tx for the NPS conference.
If you want to see the new pics I took they're on my myspace page.

Just a new pic

I saw this pose on ILP a few days ago and had to try it with the boys. As you can see it took alot to get them to be serrious. I wanted the serrious look and it was like pulling toenails. But I think I got a good one. Would liked to have thier eyes more even though. I may try again today. Watch out boys here I come!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA

It's been a while

It's been a while since my last post.
Baseball is almost over. I still can't believe how we managed to do 3 teams this summer. And my softball games. Tyler has tournaments this week. And Davids last game is this coming Saturday. I want to take a huge sigh of relief but as soon as I do something else will be starting. Summer is coming to an end. Tyler will be going to a basketball camp during the day next week. He and Jake leave for camp on the 28th and come back on the 1st. There's school shopping to do before the younger two and I head to texas for the NPS conference. School starts on 13 Aug. and then we are back to being crazy again.
I am very ready for school to start...LOL
